Hawzah News Agency (Manama, Bahrain) - According to 'al-Ayyam' daily, Seyed Muhammad Saeed al-Husseini died earlier this week.
The country's Society for Serving the Quran in a statement expressed condolences over the demise of the prominent Qari.
It noted that al-Husseini was the founder of a new Quranic movement in Bahrain and had mastery over Tajweed and different styles of recitation.
Born in 1941, he studied religious sciences and learned Quran recitation in different places including the Dar-ul-Ulum Islamia in Karachi, Tajweed School and Dar-ol-Rashad in Lahore, and Arabic Islamic University in Karachi.
